Concentrated orange juice is unhealthy, and everyone knows that. It has many preservatives and isn’t fresh. However, if you use one of the best masticating juicers, chances are your orange juice will be healthier. But it isn’t as nutritious as we believe it is because of its sugar content.
According to nutritionists, drinking orange juice spikes one’s insulin levels but eating the fruit doesn’t. When you juice, the fiber is lessened, nearly eliminated, in the process, enabling the juice’s nutrients to pass through the digestive system faster.
Even so, fresh orange juice has been proven by studies to provide Vitamin C, which stimulates the production of white blood cells and antibodies, strengthening your immune system.
The Side of Black Coffee
As per a 2011 study, coffee drinkers have a smaller chance of getting type 2 diabetes. Furthermore, caffeine increases one’s metabolic rate, allowing the person to burn calories easier. It’s also famous for improving the cognitive function of its drinkers.
On the other hand, it’s also known to raise blood pressure and stimulate gastric secretions. And if you add milk, sugar, and other ingredients to your coffee, the disadvantages would increase.
So What Should I Drink?
Anything you take too often isn’t good for you. Too much of anything is not healthy. Having said that, it’s best to drink these two beverages moderately. Both of them have perks and drawbacks, so the best thing to do is to alternate the two and get the best of both worlds. They’re both ideal to drink in the morning, but the choice is up to you. Just remember not to drink coffee after 3:00 p.m.; otherwise, you’ll be like an owl—awake in the middle of the night.
